* In actual practice we have achieved levels of sulfur in the final mixture of 75% of the total weight of SulfaMaster medium.

* The ability to remove H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) at such a high rate makes SulfaMaster a unique product in the hydrogen sulfide removal industry
Highlights
SulfaMaster H2S Removal Implementation:  Initial results from mid-size biogas cleanup project in Western U.S.

SulfaMaster is part of a production chain that is mission critical in removing the sulfur (H2S) from biogas produced at the cattle farm in order to use the gas as a local energy source.

The following are case notes and results directly from the customer after initial implementation of a Hydrogen Sulfide Sequestration Vessel using the SulfaMaster H2S Removal media.

Vessel for H2S Removal from Biogas
Ongoing monitoring and problem resolution are under way but the results so far are extremely positive in showing effective biogas cleanup using a cost-efficient, envrionmentally friendly media.

"I spoke with W... and got an update:

The Sulfamaster vessel is up and running.  They are getting acceptable numbers for their engine.  They have had it in operation since Wednesday evening around 4:30pm.  They started logging data which we should see formatted and sent to us from J....  They have been running continuously since installing the Sulfamaster vessel on Wednesday.  This is really good news for them as they have been plagued with issues on this site constantly and have never been able to run their system continuously like this yet!

Examples of some readings include:

Inlet 875 ppm
Outlet 118 ppm

Inlet 750
Outlet 20

Inlet 632
Outlet 98

114 inlet
18 outlet

Average H2S is about 150ppm  going to the engine.
The removal efficiency seemed to be poor right off the start but improved quickly.

Condensation is becoming a bit of an issue.  They are filling up the vessel quickly with condensate and have been manually draining every few days.  I talked it over with them and they will install a trap on the port in the bottom of the sump to allow the condensate to drain automatically.  pH of condensate is right on 7.

Other feedback was it took about 3 hrs to setup the unit and the vessel had a lot of bolts to deal with.  If there was a better method of designing the filter to eliminate or reduce bolts it will save time in the field.  Maybe there is a clamping system that can be used."
