The active ingredients for MetalMaster systems are lignocellulosic, usually plant-based, materials. The purpose of this product is to remove heavy metals from polluted water. This heavy metal filtration process is achieved through a combination of the composition of the raw materials and the passing of heavy metal contaminated water through a vessel containing the MetalMaster product.
Engineered systems to utilize MetalMaster are required for each specific contaminated site. The Company is currently working with an engineering firm on a pool of chromium contaminated ground water in Rochester, New York. The project equipment system was put into operation at the end of May 2008.
There are three types of application projects for MetalMaster:
Site Remediation; where the source has created a finite quantity of contamination.
Industrial Process Applications; where there are manufacturing operations that produce a byproduct flow of contaminated water or other effluent.
Electroplating industry; where metal cleanup is a necessity.
