  Frequently Asked Questions

Do I dispose of OilMaster any differently than clay?

No, the disposal procedure is the same, and should follow the statutes of the local municipality.  Check with your waste hauler or state environmental regulator.

What does the 7X in OilMaster7X mean?

OilMaster7X is very absorbent, and in the lab has been tested to be seven times more absorbent by weight than clay (commonly called speedy dry) when fully saturated.  In other words, it takes 7 pounds of clay to do the same work as 1 pound of OilMaster7X.  In practical tests with actual users, the user was likely to use 8 to 10 times more clay than OilMaster7X by weight.

If I use OilMaster7X or the OilMaster Speedy Blend outdoors, can I leave the unspent material and will it degrade?

Both OilMaster products are made from natural lignocellulosic (plant based) materials, with no additives.  These products are biodegradeable and also have plant nutrient value.  It is wise to always clean up any unspent sorbent product, however, the OilMaster products will not harm the environment.  Please check with your local environmental regulatory agency regarding their requirements for spill clean up.
